I grew up playing in all the youth leagues across Puerto Rico, which eventually led me to earn a college scholarship.
I spent two years playing at UMass Boston.

I've been a full-time coach for the past three years, and I truly love teaching my players the fundamentals of the game because through the basics, I can teach them so much more.

Since I was a kid, I always knew I wanted to work in this sport. The opportunity came, and I embraced it with everything I had.
My biggest inspiration is seeing the joy on a kid's face when they learn something new or accomplish a goal they once thought was out of reach.

My dream is to help as many kids as possible get to college and earn athletic scholarships—and one day, to build my own gym that becomes a second home for many of them.

From a young age, he stood out in youth leagues such as OBLI, Little Lads, and Balom. At just 10 years old, he was selected to represent Puerto Rico in an international tournament in Costa Rica, where his team became undefeated champions. He later played in competitive leagues like the Puerto Rican League and was part of the University of the East’s basketball team, competing in Puerto Rico’s top collegiate league, the LAI.

His true calling as a coach emerged during his college years, as he realized his passion for helping others reach their full physical and mental potential. With over 23 years of experience in coaching and athletic development, Coach Héctor has impacted generations of athletes.

As a Physical Education Teacher, he brings a holistic approach that combines technical fundamentals, physical development, game tactics, and mental discipline. For him, coaching is not just about sports—it’s about shaping character and building lives with purpose.

Coach Mark discovered his passion for basketball at the age of 13. His talent and dedication led him to play high school basketball at Brighton High, and later compete at the semi-professional level in his home country.

With three years of coaching experience, Coach Mark specializes in developing players' offensive skills. He understands that the game has evolved, and that today's players must be aggressive, versatile, and have a winning mindset.

Beyond technical skills, Coach Mark deeply values character: “Being a good person, a good athlete, coachable, and a solid student on and off the court is what truly defines a complete player.”

He joined JBT Basketball Training with the goal of helping the organization grow alongside his brother, driven by a shared dream. “JBT is not only preparing young athletes for the collegiate level, but also shaping future leaders in the sport—as players, coaches, or referees.”

Born in Puerto Rico, Coach Kevin began playing basketball at the age of 7, growing up through the youth leagues on the island. His dedication and skill earned him a scholarship to play high school basketball at Colegio CIEM.

With over 15 years of coaching experience, he has worked across multiple age categories including mini, youth, and junior high school. At JBT Basketball Training, he focuses on Travel Ball and the development of elite players, with a strong emphasis on improving their basketball IQ.

Coach Kevin coaches with passion and purpose: “My goal is to help kids, keep them off the streets, and shape them into model citizens. Basketball is my passion, but my real drive is making a difference.”

He joined JBT because he recognized a program doing things right. “It’s not just about entertaining. JBT is a club committed to teaching the game and building something meaningful.”
