Hoops Made Easy

From the island of Puerto Rico to the heart of Central Florida, Joshua Mojica’s journey has always been rooted in gratitude and purpose. As a young boy, basketball opened doors that shaped his character, built his confidence, and provided opportunities that would change his life.

Years ago, that experience sparked a mission.

What began as JBT Basketball Training, a grassroots effort led by Joshua to give back through the game, quickly grew into something bigger. Through clinics, training sessions, and community-based programs, the mission expanded as more families and young athletes sought access to structured basketball training and positive mentorship.

As the impact continued to grow, that mission was formally established as JBT Athletic Association, a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, dedicated to youth development through basketball, mentorship, and community engagement.

From a single community clinic in Poinciana to programs serving families across Central Florida, JBT has already impacted the lives of more than 500 young athletes, providing not only athletic training, but guidance, discipline, confidence, and a sense of belonging.

At JBT, basketball is more than a sport it is a tool to open doors, build character, and create opportunities both on and off the court. A core part of this mission is ensuring that talented young athletes from underserved families have access to training opportunities through scholarship and financial assistance programs, removing financial barriers and allowing potential not circumstance to define their future.
